1.3 The headings in these Terms are for easy reading only and do not affect their meaning.
Contract :
2.1 These Terms and Conditions create a binding agreement between 5 STAR Cleaning Services and the Customer.
2.2 Both the Company and the Customer agree to follow all relevant laws and regulations related to the services provided.
2.3 When the Customer uses the Company’s services, whether through a phone call, email, chat, or online form, it means they accept these Terms and Conditions.
2.4 These Terms and Conditions will take priority over any different terms proposed by the Customer unless agreed upon in writing by the Company’s owner.
2.5 Any changes to these Terms and Conditions must be approved in writing by the Company’s owner to be valid.
Quotations:
3.1 End of Tenancy Cleaning services are priced based on the specific job, which depends on factors like the condition of the property, and the number of rooms and bathrooms. Charges are not based on hourly rates for Cleaners, and the number of Cleaners may vary without affecting the quoted price.
3.2 The quoted price does not include additional services like carpet cleaning, dishwashing, blinds cleaning, wall cleaning, or garden cleaning. These services will have separate prices.
3.3 The Company uses average room sizes across the country to provide quotes over the phone.
3.4 Any quotes given by the Company are valid for 30 days from the date they are issued.
3.5 If the Customer changes their requirements after receiving a quote, the Company has the right to adjust the initial price.
3.6 If the actual price differs from the quote by more than 10%, the Company will inform the Customer before starting the work.
Equipment:
5.1 The Company will provide all the cleaning supplies needed for the service.
5.2 The Customer is responsible for ensuring that there is running water, electricity, and proper lighting at the location where the service is provided.
Payment:
6.1 Before any one-time or special cleaning services begin, the Customer must pay a deposit of 50% of the total cost. The remaining balance is due immediately after the cleaning is completed. Payment must be made by cash before the Cleaner leaves the premises.
6.2 While tips are appreciated as a thank you gesture, they are not required.
6.3 If any invoice remains unpaid for more than 14 days, the Company can charge interest on the amount due, calculated at a rate of 8% per year above the Bank of England base rate, starting from the due date until full payment is received, in line with the Late Payments Act.
6.4 The Company can cancel any contract and charge the standard rates for previous services if any misleading information was provided to receive a discounted rate, or if the cleaning requirements cannot be realistically met.
6.5 If the Customer has set up different payment arrangements, they need to pay within 14 days of the invoice date.
6.6 Payment terms will be agreed upon by both the Company and the Customer. The Customer should not make deductions or withhold payments.
